Student-Powered Climate Comic Launches During Clean Energy Week

Solar Stars vs Dark Matter – The Battle Over Climate Change inspires global citizenship, STEAM learning, and youth action.

This September 17, during Clean Energy Week, students, educators and comic fans will celebrate the launch of Solar Stars vs Dark Matter – The Battle Over Climate Change, Issue #1.

Born out of the Solar Star Challenge, the comic empowers students to take real action through storytelling, design, and technology. With their imaginations—and a little help from AI—students developed superheroes and villains who battle for a sustainable future.

The project was authored by Adam Hall, MYP Design Lead at ISDenver, and brought to life visually by Rex Ander, a former art teacher from Argentina who now works as a professional illustrator in Peru. Together, with student ideas at the core, they’ve created a climate-action comic that blends STEAM learning, global citizenship, and creative problem-solving.

Eco Friendly Printer is proud to sponsor this innovative project, which shows how young people can lead the fight for a cleaner world.

By ordering your copy, you’ll not only join the Solar Stars quest to bring clean energy to schools globally, but also help fund the creation of Solar Stars vs Dark Matter, Issue #2.

Thank you for helping power the Solar Stars movement.

Onward and upward!
